“Adequate implementation of prevention is conditional in the coming decade, in order to attain healthy urban living, diminish health inequalities and reduce health care expenses. Care, cure and prevention need to be integrated, and professionals from these domains need to collaborate and develop a regional health care network in which preventive activities can be effectively implemented. As Julius Center of Health Sciences and Primary Care of the UMC Utrecht we will contribute to this development from a research and educational perspective, and develop innovations in public health delivery, support data driven evaluation and monitoring and train medical professionals in preventive health care.”
